Nebula’s Glowing ‘Champagne Flow’ Snapped By Very Large Telescope

This bodacious pullulation of star creation was captured when the European Southern Observatory VLT set its sights on the Gum 19 nebula (a.k.a. RCW 34). The heated gas clouds ionized hydrogen – power source of flowing champagne and newborn stars – glows red in this image.
